Co host a halloween party
I live in, quite possibly, the best neighbourhood ever. Especially on Halloween. In fact, our street is so popular come Halloween, we’ve developed a few cherished traditions. The full size chocolate bar (which, if you shop around is cheaper than 3 tiny chocolate bars), the campfire and the “check in” spot where kids can trick or treat and check in every 1/2 hour or so. As a result, Halloween has become a neighbourhood get together. Everyone who spends the evening brings a little something – some extra bars, a bite to eat, a warm refreshment, and we make a Halloween potluck of it. It’s a great night and we share the expense. Many friends have no kids come to their houses, so they spend the evening with us. It’s great fun. And cost effective too.
