Act 44

Saving tradition

My son loves doughnuts. When I told him my grandmother used to make her own doughnuts he was shocked that you could make them at home and they didn’t just come from a store.

So I got the recipe from my mom and tonight we spent the evening making home made doughnuts. Delicious – a fraction of the cost – and more fun than any drive-thru I’ve been in.

So thanks Grand Maman, decades later, your frugal ways and ability to make the ordinary extraordinary pays off yet again.
